Use of Generative AI Tool (ChatGPT)
As part of building my personal portfolio website, I used ChatGPT (OpenAI) as an assistive tool throughout the design and content development process. I followed the course Generative AI Policy and used AI to support my learning, improve clarity, and strengthen my writing — not to replace my own work or decision-making.
How I Used ChatGPT
I used ChatGPT to assist with:
- Brainstorming ideas for page structure, section headings, and content organization
- Improving grammar, clarity, and flow of my writing
- Strengthening tone and professionalism in sections such as my bio, reflections, and project descriptions
- Generating starting drafts for certain paragraphs (e.g., introductions, summaries, and short reflections), which I then substantially rewrote and personalized to reflect my own experiences, goals, and voice
- SEO assistance, including focus keyphrases, meta descriptions, alt text, and titles for images
- WordPress troubleshooting, such as formatting issues, layout adjustments, and plugin/tool guidance
What I Changed and Contributed
All website content reflects my own academic journey, aviation background, and personal branding. Any AI-generated content was treated as a draft or suggestion, and I:
- edited wording for accuracy and authenticity
- rewrote sections to match my personal tone and communication style
- added personal details, reflections, and examples based on my own experience
- made final creative decisions on layout, branding, and website structure
